Sharing is caring!
Many of the Christian reminders I’m going to share with you changed my entire Christian Life. It changed the way I think, my perception, and my behavior. Remind yourself of these as you pursue a relationship with Christ Jesus.

Be a light in the world
We are reminded daily that our world is full of chaos, corruption, and sin. The world needs to experience something different and see something different. As you interact with others on a day-to-day basis, let it be evident that God’s spirit, the holy spirit, dwells in you.
Live your life in a way that gives God glory. That makes people want to live a life that also gives God glory. We need more people to be a light in a world consumed by so much darkness.
Acknowledge God in everything you do
This is one of those reminders we hear a lot but if we were to be honest how many of us actually do it? Before we do something, go somewhere, change something, or make a decision, how many of us can honestly say we acknowledge God in ALL we do?
Not most of us, but we can begin making those changes now. Before you take that job, date that person, or move locations, did you go to God about it first? Did you pray about it? Did you ask God for wisdom and that his will would be done and not your own?
Scripture tells us to acknowledge the Lord in everything we do and he will make our paths straight. Remind yourself of this truth whenever you are uncertain or need direction in an area. Begin to acknowledge God in the small things to form habits for the big things.
Seek first the Kingdom
This is one of those reminders that I wish I had implemented in my life years ago!
We can get caught up trying to meet the demands of life, actually, we can get caught up in ourselves. We seek to please ourselves and meet our wants and desires. If we want something we go for it if it will bring us some type of benefit or satisfaction.
We look to ourselves and others for fulfillment, gain, significance, and value. We need to seek God first and foremost. God and the things of God should always get priority in life.
That mindset keeps us with a level of humility and dependence on God, something that we should practice daily. As believers, we should not find security, significance, or personal gain in the world. If we make God the center of our lives, God promises to meet our needs according to his will.
Seek wisdom and understanding
Seeking wisdom and understanding has to be one of my favorite daily reminders. This particular reminder isn’t talked about enough. The topic of seeking wisdom. God loves it when we go to him to seek wisdom. I don’t know about you but I’ve gone through life asking God for everything except for wisdom.
I’ve been lost, confused, uncertain, and never simply asked for wisdom. Scripture tells us that if we go to God and ask for wisdom he will grant it to us.
I could talk about wisdom in a post on its own honestly. Wisdom leads to understanding, good judgment, the willingness to do what is right in the eyes of God, good character, and guidance. Be intentional about seeking wisdom and watch how clarity and understanding unfold in your life.
Make it a habit of reminding yourself to seek wisdom in your daily life.
Do not focus on storing up treasures on earth
This is big. Another extremely underrated reminder. Have you ever felt let down or irritated when your financial situation didn’t meet your expectations? How about when you didn’t get the job that paid more or the position with the better title?
Recognition and status? Envy?
We live in the world of social media today. A world where everyone’s lives look better than ours. They may have the relationship, the marriage, the house, the fame, and we can’t help but think why not me? But scripture tells us all of this is meaningless and holds no true value.
What is valuable is your soul, your relationship with God. Focus on storing up kingdom treasures by living your life according to God’s will for you.
Put God’s will before your own
My last point was a great segway to this one. Put God’s will before your own. Remember, if you apply these daily reminders to your every day it will be a game-changer for you.
Ever heard of that saying, we make plans and God laughs? Sarcasm yes but there’s some underlying truth to it. God has already designed the perfect plan for you. God who is all-knowing has planned every little detail of your life.
He’s not shocked by anything at any time. Yet somehow we think we know better. We live our lives how we want, the way we want. Many times we have no regard for anyone else but ourselves.
I don’t think I need to remind you that we live in a ME-centered society. Whatever it takes as long as I get what I want, as long as I’M happy. As believers, we’re called to be a living sacrifice. To give up our wants and desires for what God desires for us.
Have you at this point in your life surrendered your will for God’s? Allow the holy spirit to have his wa
